We want character generation to be as stress-free as possible. If you do not enjoy making a character, or if you only care about some aspects of your character, feel free to leave those parts of the form blank and we will fill in additional details and character links for you.

About character creation

It is expected that many players will wish to create their own characters and family groups. We will be checking characters to ensure a balance of different character types, and we may ask you to adjust your background.
If you do not want to create your own character, please just let us know the required information and we will create a suggested character for you. You are welcome to leave multiple choices for each question if you do not have a preference.
Our goal is that everyone is happy and confident playing their character - please let us know if something suggested is unsuitable.

NB: We have changed this from the first run. You indicate the type of character you want to be and relations within the family. We will assign appropriate titles and finances to characters.

After bookings are confirmed, we will send an email to all players asking for them to email us details of their intended characters in the format below.

Whose family invitation have you joined? Who are your relations and how do you feel about them?
Are you married?
Who are you married to? Are they at the ball? Are you happily married?
Do you have children?
Who are your children? Are any of them at the ball?
Title:
Where is your estate? When did you inherit the title?
Heir?
Are you the heir to someone'? Are you likely to remain their heir? Are they likely to die soon?
Scandals?
What scandalous behaviour have you done? How well known is it?
Thoughts on marriage and love:
Do you want or expect to be in love with the person you marry? What are you looking for in a partner? Does this line up with the expectations of your parents? What would be a deal-breaker?
What is the gossip about you?
These will be spread among the player base before and during the game.
Try to give 3-4 seperate pieces of information of interest about your character - they can be true or false.
Background:
Any other details we should know - especially links with other characters.
