Children
Children are welcome, as long as they have an adult responsible for them at the event.
Children under 16 who want to roleplay a full character for the evening can book as concessions and play a minor. Smaller children can come for free but please let us know for venue numbers reasons!
Breastfeeding is fine anywhere in the venue.

Food
A buffet of food and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided; some of these will be used a phys-reps for alcohol in the game.
Please note alcohol/drugs/smoking will not be tolerated on site.

We are happy to cater for any diets, food allergies, intolerances and preferences we are informed of during booking.
If you have any concerns, please contact us - we want to provide all players with adequate and sufficient food!
Accessibility
The venue has level access throughout, a disabled toilet and baby changing facilities. Toilets will be gender neutral and labelled based on facilities.

Breastfeeding is fine anywhere in the venue.
Dancing is entirely optional. Some dances have been chosen to facilitate wheelchair use during dancing - these will be identified by the caller.

An OC quiet room will be provided. There will be cushions and floor mats to make a comfortable lying-down space.

There will be first aiders on site.

Water, drinks and snacks will be freely available at all times.
​
Character creation/finding background links is optional. The writers are happy to provide characters for people who don't want to create their own.

Game Team in game will be clearly marked by black ref ribbons - please contact them if they have any issues.

We are happy to make further reasonable adjustments wherever possible, for example:

Fighting
This is a social game and there is no fighting within the game area - to be clear, this is an OC rule, as well as an IC rule!

You may, with the consent of all players involved, go briefly OC, decide OC how the fight went and then roleplay that violence has occurred outside of the venue.
Please note no formal duels may occur at the ball as duelling is illegal. You could challenge, accept, discuss terms etc. but the actual duel would be fought elsewhere later. Any 'duel' that did occur immediately, or any other fighting outside would be considered a vulgar brawl.

The organisers will bring a bruise wheel and a small quantity of fake blood in case of vulgar brawls.
Costume
This is a regency ball with the ideal of looking ‘period appropriate’, in the same way as Reign looks ‘period appropriate’ for the Tudors.
This is a fantasy version of Regency England and feel free to adapt or elaborate on the fashions of the time.
If you do not have the perfect Elizabeth Bennet cosplay, complete with 3 inches of mud on the hem, please come in your closest approximation - a neat suit or a modern empire-line long dress are perfectly suitable!

Any accessibility equipment (canes, wheelchairs etc) is completely appropriate to use/wear IC.

Refunds
If we have to cancel the entire event at any time
Everybody will get a full refund.
If you cancel up to one month before the event:
You’ll get a full refund.
(We hope this will give everybody 2 weeks to review our COVID safety guidelines and make any decisions)
If you cancel within 1 month of the event
We will do our best to get you a full or partial refund, especially if we can re-sell your place to somebody on the waiting list. These refunds may be paid after the event.
