Covid Safety Plan
This plan has been designed to comply with UK law, based on advice from LARP-aware public health experts. If either the law or the advice changes we will adjust this plan. Changes may occur up to the last minute, including whether it is safe to run the event at all.

Before the game
We ask everybody to have an NHS COVID pass. If you cannot do this, please let us know as soon as possible - in particular, if you got vaccinated outside of England, please drop us a line about equivalent systems in your country.
Please take an LFT before travelling to the game either on Friday night or Saturday morning. We'll have spare lateral flow tests at check-in in case anybody needs one.

Please don't come if you have any new symptoms of any illness even if you're certain it's not COVID.
We will refund anybody who has to miss the event because of this.
Venue & airflow
The venue is almost entirely indoors with lots of space and high ceilings throughout. We will make our best efforts to ensure good airflow through the building. It will be November, so please make sure you'll be warm enough!
There is an IC outdoor space which people are welcome to use but we can't control the weather or daylight.
Masks
People are welcome to wear masks or not.
We understand that for some people masks are a serious access barrier for various reasons, and some people feel more comfortable with them.
People will obviously be removing masks to eat and drink.
Cleaning
We will clean any obvious touch-points pre-game and prop open all doors except to the private rooms. Each toilet will have a pack of cleaning wipes and we'd ask you to wipe down the sink and taps after each use and bleach the toilet.
Hand gel will be available in various places throughout the venue.
Food
Food will be a served buffet. You'll come to the food table from a slight distance and request what items you want. Servers in masks and gloves will fill your plate for you and pass it over.
Dancing
Dancing remains entirely optional! It's in small sets (usually 4 or 6) with lots of space between them. Choosing only to dance with specific people in sets repeatedly is fine. If you'd prefer not to hold hands, you can mime at a short distance or hold a piece of fabric between you (such as a handkerchief).

Parlour games & gambling will be adjusted so we can play them all at a distance of your choice.

Roleplay
We will add specific safety mechanics to indicate "OC back off and give me more physical space", and distanced "IC kissing". We'll cover these along with other safety mechanics in the briefing.

Illness during event
As the event is one evening only, we do not feel there is a serious concern about people catching anything during travel and becoming symptomatic and infectious during the event itself. However if anybody does become ill during the event, we will work with them to make best-efforts arrangements to get them safely to a sensible place.
Refund Policy
If we have to cancel the entire event at any time, everybody will get a full refund.
If you cancel up to one month before the event, you’ll get a full refund.

If you cancel within 1 month of the event - we will do our best to get you a full or partial refund, especially if we can re-sell your place to somebody on the waiting list. These refunds may be paid after the event.
